The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is highest honours to an artist who has made a significant contribution to the Cinema and is presented by the Indian Government at the annual National Film Awards . It was started in 1969, the birth centenary (100 year) of Dadasaheb Phalke. DadaSaheb is also called father of indian cinema.
